About Timing
I'm using now the KIWI software by Geoff Hitchcox, NZ, for monitoring the GPS signal from the Garmin GPS 35.
In rare cases timing errors can occur.See the long time testing I have done with Geoff and Steve Preston in 2003.
A htm file of the results of our error hunt is available at Steve's web page:

About Video
The fields of the video (50 fps) were captured manually to avoid dropped or double frames. These BMPs were combined to a new AVI file.
At IRIS this AVI were transfered to FITS and realigned for any movements (seeing, mount) of the reference star.
The FITS were converted to BMPs again and finally the AVI ThetisAlign.avi was created.
Therefore the frame of image and time insert seem to move but the reference star will be stable at one x,y position.
This makes the automatic photometry with IRIS much easier.
