My second ever positive of an event only listed by the LinOccult predictions for my site. The event was recorded with a prototype of the Astronomical Digital Video System (ADVS) using a PointGrey Flea3 video camera using 3.75 fps and Gamma of 4.000. The camera was away for testing for more than a week and I just got it back that evening.

(134340) Pluto occults UCAC3 141-302444
Finally managed to observe an occultation by Pluto including atmospheric events. As with my previous Pluto events I attempted, when there was a real event I always had some technical problem. This time was no different but it was only half a disaster. I managed to get the R events an a total of 130+ seconds of occultation but was not able to record the disappearance.

This is a very first occultation in many categories. The first one in 9 months after the long and heavy LaNina here down under, secondly the first positive event for me in 2012 and finally and most importantly the first event recorded with a prototype of the Astronomical Digital Video System (ADVS) using a PointGrey Flea3 video camera using 7.5 fps.

This is my best event since 2007! A bright 7.4 magnitude star occulted for whole 26 seconds and the asteroid remained visible at mag 10.9 during the disappearance. Also had a lot of luck as the cloud cleared 5 min before the event.

The event was recorded with WAT-120N+ camera with 8 frame integration in this very cold morning for the season. I only got to the target just a minute before the event due to two accidental power resets.

My first positive for 2011.The event was recorded with WAT-120N+ camera with 8 frame integration. 3 min before the event I accidently reset my scope power and had to do min manual tracking of the field as the scope stopped tracking and there was no time for a new alignment.

Sometimes they don't come in months and sometimes you get three in a row. My last occultation for 2010 UT year (observed on 1 Jan 2011 local time). The event was detected with PC164EX2 camera using 3 frame software integration. The occultation occured 30 sec earlier than predicted.

The event was recorded with WAT-120N+ with HI gamma and x8 integration less than 24 hours after my previous occultation.

The event was recorded with PC164EX2. I had to grab the tripod with the telescope and move it a couple of meters 3 min before the event to avoid my neighbour's roof. Luckily there was a bright star just next to the field so I could locate the field just on time and the disruption of the tracking from moving the tripod wasn't too big either. I did need all this luck to record my next event after exactly 4 months of clouds and rain.
